Is Edo PDP Unfair To This Immediate Former Honourable Minister of Works?

    • The Need for Edo State Central Senatorial Leader’s Assembly

A Must Read And Exposing Piece

Dear Edo politicians, repent now as the Kingdom of God is near…stop being only the liker of people’s works and not caring for same people you use. It will lead you to everlasting blackmails and reduce you to nothing in the last.

Okay na, let me reframe the above subject question in the opposite way. Is Arch. Mike Onolememen, the former Honourable Minister of Works unfair to Edo PDP? In my opinion, the answer cannot said to be yes except as it was purely titled. The reason for this very subject in informed by what seems to be the back line role he is presently playing in politics. As a daring investigative person, I decided to find out, why should a man who was known as the Bulldozer few years ago decided to be at the back seat when indeed, he should actually a mentor, model and a leader in the politics of Edo Central Senatorial District irrespective of the political divide…

Permit me to hint that, the other part of this subject piece that we shall be looking at even though, not deeply in terms of its dynamics on this, is the very need for a people leaders of the Edo State Central Senatorial District across political divide.

In view of the above, you will agree with me that, there is no doubt that, everyone has his or her own weakness but, when the good aspects surpass the bad side in no small measure, such person is a good man. I can challenge anyone on this philosophy. This best explains the above subject matter as it relates to Dr. Mike Onolememen, the immediate former Minister of Works and one time, State Minister of Defense, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

What You Don’t Know About Arch Mike O.O.

Chief Arch. Dr. Michael Oziegbe Onolememen, the current Adolor of Uromi is a Member, Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA); Member, Association of Consulting Architects in Nigeria (ACAN); Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a Registered Architect by the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is a chartered Architect and professional construction manager of over 30 years cognate experience in the private and public sector in Nigeria.

This September 4, 1965 Uromi born Edo son Nigerian to the family of Late Mr. & Mrs. Augustine Aizehiwele Onolememen attended St. Anthony (now Opoje) Primary School, Uromi for his Primary School Leaving Certificate, both Annunciation Catholic College, (ACC) Irrua and Kings College, Lagos in view to obtain the West African Examination Council (WAEC) Certificate. In 1985, he obtained the Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the defunct Bendel State University now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Masters in Architecture, University of Nigeria, Nsuka-1988, and Master of Science in Construction Management, University of Lagos-1990 and a PhD in Public Policy and Administration, Waiden University, USA in 2014.

Having well grounded in his professional field, Arch. Mike Onolememen considered the need to set up a world class Architectural Design outfit called ‘Gomic Consortium International Limited (a firm of architects, engineers and projects managers with offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja) where the renowned Architect Onolememen sat as the Chairman Chief Executive and a chartered architect and development consultant.

With his strong technical background, Dr. Mike Onolememen was appointed a member of the Interim Management Committee of the Petroleum Trust Fund by the President, Commander in chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where he doubled as Executive Director, Projects Management. He served as a Minister of State in the Ministry of Defense and also the past Minister of Works, of the federal Republic of Nigeria that earned him the Great Bulldozer as a nickname. It is a no deniable fact that, since 1999 till date, Dr. Mike is the best Federal Minister of Works so far produced.

As a member of Edo State PDP and having became the Federal Minister under the same party, Arch Mike Onolememen whose regular monthly salary was less than a Million Naira serviced the Edo State PDP with a constant pay of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00) monthly, funds that was being paid to Chief Dan Orbih, the former PDP State Chairman to maintain the party down to the ward level. In Mike’s belief that, there should be the distribution of wealth, he insisted that, there was no need for Sen. Odion Magnus Ugbesia to be returned to the Senate for a third term, a political suggestion that brought in Sen. Clifford Ordia. Mike did not stopped at the above, when he saw that, Engr. Clifford Ordia could not afford the financial muscles to fund his election having faced with bank loan issues, the former Minister busted the today Senator’s Bank Account with about three hundred Million Naira (N300,000,000.000) to commence his movement process to the National Assembly. The question is, how far is Sen. Clifford Ordia still regular in Arch Mike O. O’s house today? I leave the answer to that question to two of them to battle with. It will suffix Edo people to know that, Arch. Oziegbe was very instrumental in the funding of Edo PDP in 2015 and 2016 through Late Chief Tony Anenih as not less than 75% of the funding was linked to Chief Mike Onolememen. Even though he chooses to remain behind by pretending to provide some obvious direct supports honour his leader’s ego as well as to reduce so much attention, there are traces of funds moved through the Late Political Icon of Edo State to support Edo PDP. Just to keep our doubters silent in case, most of the above mentioned transactions are there in the bank papers. So, waste no time in bragging with court threats as usual.

Now, let’s look at one interesting part. Mike was said to be developing political structure across the 198 wards in Edo State PDP. He was the most favoured Edo State PDP 2016 aspirant until he was skimmed out of event by some cabal to favour another in the name of Edo South and Central political master stroke cum majority and minority snag while he was completing his Doctorate Degree in the United States. A quick one, has this minority and majority imbroglio favoured Edo PDP? Of course, Edo PDP lost to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in 2011 and to Mr. Godwin Obaseki in 2016. That, Edo Central is once again, now being blackmailed to the likes of Nyesom Wike of Rivers State by a certain cabal with this same unwinnable strategy calls for the very question as to, does the Edo PDP truly want to win election or in another class or round of electioneering racketeering? Again, I leave that question to the members of Edo PDP.

Let me make it clear authoritatively that, Chief Mike Onolememen is not likely to seek for any political position especially in the Edo 2020, I am also too sure, he is not out from politics in totality. However, it is important to say, there are other numerous contributions the former Honourable Minister of Works have made to Edo State PDP as a body and to individuals but will not be mentioned here except pushed to the wall. You may not be lying to say, those mentioned above are therefore strategic to the fact that, you will be answering a question as to, who really should be the Edo State PDP Central Senatorial District Leader? Was Late Chief Anenih holding a position as he led Edo State PDP till his exit? Let’s ruminate about the above.

Attempting to analyse who should be the Edo State Central Senatorial District Leader under PDP and considering all the political dynamics, I found out that, because Architect Mike Onolememen stood for the truth, as to support against a third term bid of Sen. Odion Ugbesia did therefore bringing on board, Sen. Clifford Ordia is the main cause of the dilemma of a position he truly deserved to be holding till date. Coupled with the above, the immediate former State PDP Chairman did find it unpalatable when Dr. Mike opened up that, he has be servicing the State party through Chief Dan Orbih when there were complaints that, he was not doing the needful to Edo PDP. This also informed the reason why the above cabals led a team to meet the Late Chief political icon to change the original plans that brought in our friend whose mandate was stolen in the Edo 2016. No wonder, the lies, deceits and personal interests are the reason why Edo PDP is not winning election and rather than getting more grounds, is losing it to the today ruling APC.

It is therefore clear that, Chief Mike Onolememen’s decision to stay at the back seat in the political activities of Edo PDP is informed by lots of betrayal, negative payback to his frankness and disappointments seen in the past political years. Now, the center theme of this part of this piece, are those who benefited directly or indirectly from Dr. Mike’s benevolence fair to him? Is his challenges informed by lack of united front from his State Senatorial District? I mean, is the issue of greed and desire of personal and selfish interests in the life of the major players championed by a certain cabal members and some up line backing the cause of sidelining of a fellow very rich enough, as big as the elephant in the animal kingdom, an asset wonderfully desired by other political parties in the person of Chief Arch Dr. Mike Oziegbe Onolememen? You may hate him because, he may not be too good a politician who shares regular envelopes for regular political visitors, you cannot take the fact away that, Arch Mike is a sagacious and eloquent speaker who is realistic to life, a conservative lifestyle, understands human management, an as a core professional believes in revolution in societal development.

In the nearest future, we will once again be vindicated for speaking the naked truth while daring those guys that have held us hostage for years. We must know that, the truth last but not forever. All be told and advised that, whatever you do, even in the secret, it shall one day be exposed either before or after your death. Those who claim they are smart to the extent of eating alone, repent now before it is too late. People are still pretending to give you regard, if you do not change now, in the nearest future, I can assure you, God is not a man that, He will lie. To all politicians across the State, from Benin to Okpella, from Ebele to Igarra and from Okada to Abudu, REPENT NOW AS THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS CLOSE. Start caring for your followers from the benefits you get from the game. Stop eating alone. How could you be seating on top of billions of Naira yet, followers suffers pursuing your dream while you benefits without having them along? How can you be seating on billions of Naira yet, placing calls on those struggling to have their daily bread to milk them of the little in their hands to meet your daily needs? And stop being only the liker of people’s works and not caring for same people you use. It will lead you to lasting blackmail and reduce you to nothing in the last.

It is in the light of the above, I strongly believe that, there is the need for Esan People’s Assembly, a uniquely organized system that should have elders across political divide, uniting all our people’s traditional leaders, scholars, professionals, politicians, Youth and Students on which, the interests of our people shall be decided and championed in the right and most understanding way.

Watch Out For Esan People’s Assembly Matters Arising!!!

    I am yours
    Comrade Mike O. Enahoro

  • SHALL WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY? – Jude Idehen

SHALL WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY? – Jude Idehen

Hon. Jude Idehen is contesting for the seat of House of Representatives Ikpoba-Okha/Egor Federal Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

We have consulted widely across all 20 wards of Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Areas and analyzed the challenges facing our nation and constituencies. We have a robust blueprint based on the PDP manifesto to serve as a springboard for our constituency, placing her on a sunlit path of holistic development and material prosperity, and our Nigeria into a land where truth, justice and liberty reigns. These ingredients will satisfy our thirst and quest for unity and progress that for far too long have eluded us.

I shall be part of those that will use the chambers of the Nigerian National Assembly to prepare a new bed for our country.

Ours is a genuine road map, within which are enshrined precise foundational, yet indispensable principles that are key to peace and progress in a pluralistic society like Nigeria.

We must transform our constituency and protect her citizens from the present unacceptable condition. My cardinal principles are enshrined in an agenda code-named the “RESCUE” mission. The “RESCUE” mission offers measurable commitments that will be implemented with passion, single-mindedness, incisive competence and experience. The RESCUE mission is an acronym for:

    R– Rule of Law

    E– Exact True Federalism

    S– Secularity

    C– Constitutionalism

    U– Unity

    E– Empowerment and Constituency projects

    Rule of Law

It is no news that successive administrations have made attempts to forcefully unite Nigerians employing centralism and coercion. It is also true that the repeated failure to do so implies the necessity of a new strategy to unite our nation. Justice is the most potent instrument with which a nation can stay glued and in perfect harmony and co-existence. Unfortunately, we are citizens of a country where justice is often denied, sacrificed, continually perverted and habitually mocked. It is almost only in Nigeria that because of the lack of accountability, nepotism, and gross impunity, giant camels, even if they are carrying hippopotamuses on their backs, easily pass through the eye of a needle. There can be no lasting peace or progress in any nation until its public officials are fully accountable to the people and answerable to the law.

Hence, we must wage a peaceful revolution for the supremacy of the rule of law in all facet of our polity. I will be one of the arrowheads of this peaceful revolution.

    Exact True Federalism

As dictated by our constitution, the Federal Government is a monstrous octopus; its tentacles will continue to be a clog on the progress and unity of our people. Our constitution must devolve far greater power from the central government to the federating units of Nigeria. Dispersing power will help secure our freedom, increase citizens’ participation as well as structural, functional and institutional effectiveness. We must wake up and summon that uncommon courage and creativity to err on the side of subversion and on the compulsion to rule a multi-ethnic country in a militarist unitary fashion. Restructuring is key.

    Secularity

Theology is the mother of all philosophy; people ultimately become whatever they theologize. Nigeria is a heterogeneous nation and Nigerians must be free to believe or not believe in God. Those who choose to believe in God must be free to worship Him or Her in whatever way they choose so long as their own freedom does not impinge on the freedom of others. Religion should not become a contrivance for heating the polity and sowing strife as it has for far too long strained our politics and divided our people. Nigeria is a secular nation and I will work hard to enforce this.

    Constitutionalism

Forged and foisted on us by a cabal of military adventurers, our present constitution is incoherent and inapplicable in several regards. Conscious effort must be made and deliberate steps taken to replace it with a testament that emanates from the sovereign wishes of our people. The present arrangement, having been sown on the winds of certified fraud, has had us embroiled in endless controversies and turmoil. We must summon the courage and ingenuity to provide for ourselves a constitution that will reflect our hopes, assuage our fears, and minimize our conflicts. Such a constitution must be freely negotiated. Hence, I will work hard for a freely negotiated constitution emerging via a Sovereign Conference like that of 2014 and any other.

    Unity

Truly, Nigerians are trapped in ethno-religious sentiments. In addition, a ‘them-versus-us’ dichotomy is a nagging thorn in the Nigerian flesh. We often fail to listen to and empathize with the anguish of one another. Why is it so difficult for all of us to see the flagrant injustice inflicted on our oil-producing areas, the incessant terror and killings in many parts of the country? We must not all be Bini, Ogoni, Ijaw, Yoruba or Fulani before we can identify with a just cause. Let us stop perishing or stagnating together in the floods of needless conflicts. Let us bring down fences of segregation and invest in constructing bridges of understanding. We can collaborate to hasten the infrastructural development of our Northeast; we can terminate the injustices meted to our south-south, and accelerate the educational development of our Northwest. Southwest and the Southeast can be structurally unchained and thus, develop at whatever pace that suits them. As a legislator, I will work hard to sober reflection, gentle persuasion, robust analysis and essential compromise in the National Assembly.

    Empowerment and Constituency projects

Youth empowerment is a process where young people are encouraged to take charge of their lives. They do this by addressing their situation and then act to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes.
